Batch mode

Remove backgrounds from a batch of images at once

Upload a set, walk away, come back to the finished results and download them together. The same cutout quality as a single image, without doing the same three clicks a hundred times.

How it works

  1. 1

    Select your images

Drop up to 10 JPG, PNG or WebP files, 10 MB each, into bulk mode.

  2. 2

    Let the batch run

Images are queued and processed in order. You can leave the page and come back.

  3. 3

    Download everything

Grab the finished set in one go rather than file by file.

Who batch mode is for

  • Ecommerce sellers preparing a catalogue for a marketplace.
  • Photographers delivering a school, team or corporate shoot.
  • Car dealers processing a day's intake of vehicle photos.
  • Brokerages standardising agent headshots across an office.
  • Anyone who has ever done the same edit forty times in a row.

How to get the most out of a batch

Group similar images together. A batch of product packshots shot in the same conditions will come out uniformly; a batch mixing portraits, products and screenshots will be uniform in effort but not in look, and you will end up reviewing all of them anyway.

Name your files sensibly before uploading. The finished set is easier to match back to SKUs or people when the filenames already carry that information.

Review at full size after the batch finishes, not before publishing. The images worth a second look are the low-contrast ones — a pale product on a pale surface, or light hair against a light wall.

Cost and limits

Background removal is free within your daily allowance: 3 a day without an account, 5 a day with a free one, plus 10 bonus credits for the premium tools. Beyond that, credits are $2 for 10 pay-as-you-go, or from $9/month for 100 credits, down to about 6.5¢ an image on the Max plan. Credits roll over for up to three months.

Batches are capped at 10 images per upload, and there is no cap on how many batches you run. If you need more throughput than that, the background removal API is in development — join the early-access list and tell us your volume.

Frequently asked questions

How many images can I upload at once?
Up to 10 per batch, at 10 MB per image. You can run as many batches as you like.
Do I need an account for bulk mode?
Yes. Anonymous visitors get 3 single removals a day; bulk mode needs a free account.
Can I leave the page while it runs?
Yes. The batch keeps processing and your results are waiting when you come back — they are retained for 30 days.
Is bulk quality the same as single images?
Identical. It is the same model and the same pipeline; batching only changes how many images you hand it at once.
Is there an API?
Not yet. It is in development and the early-access list is open — volume and use case from that list are what drive the design.
